πΈ A Brighter Chapter for Women’s Wellbeing.
2025 Menopause Clinical Study. A Malaysian Scientific Discovery
Menopause is a natural stage of life but for
many women, the journey can bring changes in physical comfort, sleep, intimacy,
mood and everyday quality of life.
The good news is that science is continuing to
look for better ways to understand and support women.
πΏ A new discovery from Malaysia
A 2025 clinical study investigated Physta®, a
standardized water-soluble extract of Eurycoma longifolia (Tongkat Ali), in 138
women aged 40 - 55 experiencing menopause symptoms.
The 12-week study was randomized, double-blind
and placebo-controlled, comparing Physta® 50 mg, Physta® 100 mg and placebo.
And the findings created an important new
chapter in the scientific story of Tongkat Ali.
π What did researchers observe?
With Physta® 100 mg, the study reported:
33.9% reduction in total MENQOL score
versus 23.3% with placebo
P = 0.049
The study also reported statistically
significant improvements in:
πΏ Physical domain 36.4% improvement
❤️ Sexual domain 36.3% improvement
For mood, the Physta® 100 mg group showed a
38.6% reduction in total mood disturbance, compared with 30.1% for placebo; the
between-group difference was not statistically significant.
π· What does this mean for women?
It reminds us that women's wellbeing is more
than simply managing individual symptoms.
It is about helping women continue to feel:
π Comfortable
π Confident
π Active
π Connected
π Positive about the next chapter of life
This study does not establish Physta® as a cure
for menopause. Rather, it adds clinical evidence to the discussion of
menopause-related quality of life and women's wellbeing.
From Malaysian botanical heritage to modern
science
This is what makes the story special.
A plant traditionally known as Tongkat Ali has
entered a new area of scientific investigation — women's health.
Traditional knowledge → standardized extract →
clinical research → peer-reviewed publication → knowledge for the world.
The 2025 study was published in the World
Journal of Clinical Cases, adding to the scientific conversation surrounding
Eurycoma longifolia.
π A message worth sharing
To every woman approaching or experiencing
menopause:
You are entering a new chapter not the end of
your best years.
To families and communities:
Listen. Understand. Support.
To researchers and healthcare professionals:
Continue the science. Continue the
conversation.
And to the international community:
A Malaysian botanical discovery is contributing
another piece to the global conversation on women's wellbeing.
πΈ Better understanding. Better research. Better wellbeing.
Physta® another chapter in the scientific
journey of Tongkat Ali.
Science First. Everything Follows.
